Jessica Guzman is a woman of deep faith, a committed wife and mother, and a local businesswoman who believes the strength of a community comes from the people who are willing to step forward, get involved and serve.
Jessica was raised by two immigrant parents alongside her sisters. Her parents came to the United States from their respective home countries in pursuit of a better future. Growing up in a close multi-cultural family taught Jessica the importance of supporting one another, working together, and remaining grounded in shared values. Her parent's sacrifices, work ethic, and determination shaped Jessica from an early age. This instilled a deep appreciation for family, opportunity, perseverance, and the importance of working hard to build a better future.
Those values became evident early in Jessica’s life. She entered the workforce at just 15 years old and quickly advanced to becoming a training mentor at Jamba Juice, while graduating high school with summa laude honors. That early determination carried into a successful banking career with Bank of America, where she advanced into management and developed a strong foundation in financial responsibility, leadership, communication and problem solving while working with people from diverse backgrounds.
In 2011, at just 21 years old, Jessica purchased her first home in Perris alongside her high school sweetheart, who would later become her husband. What began as their first step into homeownership became the foundation for the life they would build together. Over the past 15 years, Perris has become more than the place they call home - it is where they have raised their family, built their careers and established lasting roots.
While she later chose to pause her corporate path to focus on motherhood, her ambition never wavered. While raising two toddlers, she successfully earned her real estate license and became a professional Realtor in 2016.
Over the past decade, Jessica has expanded her expertise through both real estate and business management. Her career in property has given her unique insight into the nuances of homeownership and the growing needs of our developing city.
Beyond her professional life, Jessica’s heart remains centered on her family and local advocacy. As a mother, she has been actively involved in her children's education, attending school board meetings, and advocating for parents to have a meaningful voice in their children's education. She believes strong schools and engaged parents are essential to building a stronger community.
That same willingness to get involved extends to her neighborhood. As an active member of her HOA, Jessica is not someone who just identifies a problem - she makes the call, asks the questions, follows the trail, and stays engaged until there is an answer or a solution. She believes meaningful change requires participation, not passive observation.
This is the spirit of service Jessica Guzman hopes to bring to the Perris City Council.
After 15 years of calling Perris home, Jessica knows District 3 deserves leadership that is accessible, transparent, accountable, and willing to listen. She is ready to apply her life experiences to the benefit of every resident.
For Jessica, Perris is more than a place on a map. It is her home, the place where her family has grown, the community where she has built her future. She is ready to give back to the city and lead with integrity, purpose, and genuine commitment to its residents.
